2.
What is the review fee for and what does it cover?
The review
fee covers the review costs incurred by
Compensation Review prior to a solicitor
taking on a claim. The review fee is
payable at the time of signing the
client agreement. The review fee
is refunded should a claim be
unsuccessful (subject to terms and
conditions).
3.
Are there any additional costs?
If we need
to obtain a copy of your credit
agreement your lender will usually
charge you £10 to return the
information.
4.
What are the timescales for the process?
Each case
can vary dramatically in the time it
takes to complete, with much of this
variation being related to the speed of
response by the lender. Most claim types
are now expected to last between 6 and
12 months from our solicitors being
instructed to proceed.
5. Is
success guaranteed?
It is not
possible to guarantee success with any
kind of claim, although solicitors will
not take on a case unless they are highly confident they will win. We
will refund your review fee, subject to
terms and conditions, should a claim be
unsuccessful.
6.
Will I be 'blacklisted' if I make a
claim?
If you make
a claim against a company then, under
‘treating customers fairly’ rules, you
should not be treated any differently to
any other client, as you are making a
claim that you are entitled to under the
law. However, when making a claim
against a current product we do
recommend that you have alternative
arrangements in place for this product
or service should the lender (or product
provider) choose to withdraw the
product.
7.
Will making a claim affect my credit
rating?
The process
of making a claim will not affect your
credit rating, as long as you maintain
your minimum payments on current
products such as credit cards and loans.
Payments should be stopped only on the
advice of our solicitors or until the
claim has been settled.
8.
How can I trust you?
Compensation
Review has over two years experience in
the relatively new consumer credit
claims industry. As we are not
tied to one Claims Management Company or
firm of Solicitors, you can be assured
that we will give high levels of

With a credit card claim, can I continue
to use my card?

investigation, your lender may argue
that you are accruing further debt in

the balance written off.
